Hunter's Haven Chesapeake Bay Retrievers began with our Chessie, Hunter. More than just a dog, Hunter was a beloved part of our family. From riding in the duck boat to being dressed up by our daughters, he brought joy, loyalty, and companionship into our lives. He was the best dog we ever had, and he sparked our lifelong love for the breed.

As our passion for hunting dogs grew, we expanded our family to include Boykin Spaniels. These smaller, spirited companions proved to be just as loyal and versatile, making them perfect for both family life and time in the field. Today, we are proud to raise exceptional Chesapeake Bay Retrievers and Boykin Spaniels that become both trusted hunting partners and devoted family members.

Hunter’s Haven is located on a beautiful 110-acre farm, 10 acres enclosed complete with a pond designed for training, working, and play. This outdoor space allows our dogs to thrive physically and mentally. It ties directly into our kennels, a top-tier indoor facility designed to provide a clean and safe environment for both adult dogs and puppies. As a retired general contractor, I built this facility to meet the highest standards of comfort and care.
